A California attorney since 1994, and one of the nation's top cyber security experts, Justin retired in 2020 as the commanding officer of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Cyber Crime Section. His experience includes assignments with FBI and Secret Service cybercrime task forces since 2004. As a sworn law enforcement officer in Southern California since 1988, Justin has instructed thousands of law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and public officials throughout the United States and internationally in cyber security, cybercrime, and high-technology threats. Justin is now offering his services through his new firm established September 1, 2020.
Justin is a graduate of information technology crimes investigation programs conducted by the SANS Institute, Carnegie Melon’s CERT-CC, FBI, HTCIA, and the California Department of Justice. He is also a member of the High Technology Crimes Investigation Association (HTCIA) and served as an FBI-LEEDA faculty member. He holds Global Information Assurance Certifications as a Penetration Tester (GPEN), Security Analyst (GSEC) and Forensic Analyst (GCFA).
